I was a young man, working full time as production control manager at a Charlotte, NC sheet metal company. I was also an avid reader. Known for giving books much lead-way, I surprised my wife one night by tossing a book across the room. “I could write better than that,” I barked.

“Do it,” my wife said, with that calm nature that speaks so much louder than her words.

And so I did.

Magazine Software review of a Computer Programming Software

In the old days, I wrote under Raymond Harrington, Mike Harrington and Michael Harrington. Depended much on which type of magazine the magazine article would appear in. However, I did encounter one major problem. At the time I started writing, I also started programming computers. This resulted in much conflict. The creative juices used in the programming robbed from the writing.

As the money for the program increased much quicker than the income associated with the writing, I began to let my primary passion fall to the side. Years later, due to conditions I will not detail in this article, I was forced to return to the world of writing for a living. What a blessing that has been.
